Jermaine Jackson is planning a Michael Jackson tribute concert in London this summer, to mark the anniversary of the King of Pop's death. Previous plans to honor Jackson in Vienna, Austria were shelved last year, but Jermaine hasn't given up hope, and he's booked London's Wembley Arena for a star-studded performance on June 8th. The show will be called Tribute By Jermaine, and will be filmed for a future DVD release. He has yet to reveal who will perform at the London show.
Sean Penn was allegedly banned from the annual Governor's Ball after the Oscars because he got into a confrontation with one of the producers of The Hurt Locker. Why? Turns out that newly minted Oscar-winning producer Greg Shapiro is dating Penn's estranged wife, Robin Wright. According to sources, minutes after Penn and Shapiro came face-to-face, academy officials said he was banned from the ball." Penn's rep denies the confrontation and says the actor chose not to attend the ball.
Miley Cyrus has finally come clean on whether or not actor Liam Hemsworth, who she has been dating, is her boyfriend. When asked what she had been doing before the Oscars, she said, "Me and my boyfriend went on a bike ride." And what does she think of their relationship? "I think we're both deeper than normal people, what they think and how they feel. He's very grateful for what he has, but he doesn't let it go to his head. I'm like that too."
Veteran actress Raquel Welch turned heads at a U.S. airport security checkpoint last week - after her bustier set off metal detectors. The former Hollywood pin-up activated alarms after arriving at Chicago's O'Hare International airport, and held up the security checkpoint line while an airport agent patted down her garments in full view of waiting passengers. According to sources, the agent blamed the problem on the boning in Welch's bustier. However, a spokesperson for Welch has laughed off the incident, adding, "She probably isn't going to fly in a bustier anymore."
The Rolling Stones are not retiring. Keith Richards says that the band will return to the studio to record a new album. The group is currently resting between tours and have been rocked by allegations about bandmate Ronnie Woods' battles with addiction and tabloid coverage of his romance with a waitress 40 years his junior. But Richards insists the Stones are still going strong, and they are plotting future tours and a new album, saying, "There's no definite plans, but I can't see us stopping. I wouldn't be surprised if we did some recording later this year."
